Sven

Gold:
Fully vetted, Spay or neutered, Basic training, crate trained, potty trained.

1.5 yo Labrador Retriever fusion Neutered: Yes
Microchipped: Yes
Housetrained: Unknown
Crate trained: Yes
Sven is a handsome black Labrador Retriever mix who is loyal to his person.
His past is unknown before he was found as a stray.
Shelter life was clearly not for him, his health and behavior started to decline.
He found himself on the euthanasia list for being “difficult to handle.”
The day our rescue picked him up it was clear that closed spaces was not his thing, but otherwise he was a good boy.
It wasn’t until a few weeks in foster that some fear aggression started to surface toward certain men.
It seems as though he was abused most likely at the hands of a man or men.
We knew that we needed to get some help to rehabilitate Sven and help him work through his fears in order for him to be adoptable.
With the support of a local trainer after 3 weeks we saw a change in Sven’s behavior and was able to let him in the yard with other dogs and the trainer.
Day after day we see Sven learn to trust and relax in his new environment.
It is great to see him just be a puppy and play.
He is not 100%, but with the right owner he can continue to improve and make a great companion.

Lilo

Silver:
Fully vetted, spay or neutered, some training, crate trained and potty trained.

9 months old old female Labrador Retriever fusion.
Spayed: Yes.
Microchipped: Yes. Housetrained: Unknown
Crate trained: Yes
Small dog friendly
Lilo is a petite Labrador Retriever mix.
She is courageous and most of the time the lookout for her and her brother Stitch.
She is slowly learning to trust the world.
She was found as a stray at a very young age with who we believe is her brother.
She found herself quickly on the euthanasia list for being extremely fearful and unsocial.
The day our rescue picked her up it was clear she was fearful of humans and most likely had little or no human interaction.
Poor girl was so afraid she vomited and pottied all over herself on our way to the foster’s home.
We knew it was going to be a long road to gain her trust.
She was placed with a foster to adapt to in home living and socialization.
She has come a long way, but her confidence has room to grow.
Our staff continues to work on leash training, engagement, and trust.
She does love her leash walks once we are able to get her out of her crate.
