Founded by Shareen Harding, our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abandoned and neglected animals, inspired by the love and bond Shareen shares with her own dog, Kenai. Kenai’s House Inc began as a heartfelt dream: to extend the same care and compassion that Kenai receives to animals in need. Our Mission
Kenai’s House Inc is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and healthy environment for abandoned and neglected animals. Our mission is to rescue pets in need, rehabilitate them to restore health and confidence, and rehome them into responsible, loving families. We go beyond adoption by focusing on retention, offering ongoing resources and support to ensure each animal enjoys a lifetime of happiness and care in their forever home. Our Vision
Our vision is to transform the lives of animals in need across California by providing compassionate care, medical treatment, and second chances. We are committed to being a lifeline for animals in overcrowded county and private kill shelters, helping to reduce euthanasia by rescuing pets requiring medical attention or additional rehabilitation before rehoming. With the support of dedicated veterinary professionals, animal rehabilitation specialists, socialization teams, and volunteers, Kenai’s House ensures every animal receives the love and care they deserve. Our mission is to place each pet in a safe, responsible, and loving home where they can thrive. By working collaboratively with shelters, rescues, and our community, Kenai’s House strives to create a future where no animal is left behind.
