Nutmeg’s story began on the streets, where a compassionate Good Samaritan stepped in and gave her the safety she had been missing. She spent the Christmas holiday wrapped in warmth and kindness for the first time in a long while — and that love was just the beginning of her new chapter.
Now under the care of Kenai’s House, Nutmeg is being thoughtfully trained and prepared for the forever family she so deeply deserves. She has already shown us what a special girl she is.
Nutmeg walks beautifully on leash, is crate trained, and is fully potty trained. She thrives with structure and routine and responds especially well to positive reinforcement (treats are definitely a favorite!).
Ideal Home
Nutmeg can be a little nervous when meeting new people, but with patience and gentle encouragement, she warms up and reveals her sweet, tender nature. Once she trusts you, she is affectionate, loyal, and eager to connect.

Meko is a spirited little guy with a big personality and an even bigger heart! At 3 years old, this dachshund mix is full of life, curiosity, and playful energy. He loves exploring his surroundings, going for walks, and engaging in fun activities with his people.
Meko walks nicely on leash and is continuing to build strong foundations with crate and potty training. He’s eager to learn and thrives with structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement.
This sweet boy absolutely adores his humans and enjoys the company of other dogs. He’s affectionate, social, and happiest when he’s included in daily life..

About Boo
Boo is 7- year old perfect mix of bulldog sass and soulful sweetness. Found as a stray and patiently waiting for her second chance, she is now safe with Kenai’s House and ready to find the forever family she deserves.
This 7-year-old English Bulldog may be considered a “senior,” but don’t tell her that — she has plenty of personality and charm to keep you smiling every single day! Boo loves her walks, enjoys car rides (or even just relaxing in a parked car), and is happiest when she’s close to her people.
She’s fully potty trained, crate trained, and walks beautifully on leash. Boo does well with other dogs but appreciates slow introductions and clear boundaries as she warms up.

Malnourished, scared, and unsure of the world, this tiny pup has already shown extraordinary courage. Since coming into our care, she has transformed in the most inspiring ways — slowly discovering that gentle hands, soft voices, and warm homes can be trusted.
She is wonderful with other dogs and cats, does beautifully with children, and thrives when given encouragement, patience, and consistent love. With time, Jessie will blossom into a deeply devoted companion — the kind of dog who loves her people with her whole heart.

Thanks to a kindhearted Good Samaritan and our rescue partners, he has made an incredible recovery — and now he’s ready to find the loving forever home he deserves.

He had a rough start to life, abandoned in a field to fend for himself with his other two siblings. is now safe and thriving in his foster home.
